5/22 @ 6pm - CUTPAPER Zine Party with Nova Community Arts!

Join us for a very special evening of zine making. We’ll be making and swapping zines and we’d love for you to join us!

Zines are a DIY form of rapid publishing that are a great way to share your thoughts, poetry, drawings, or more! In this workshop you’ll learn how to fold a classic style of zine. Then, you’ll get to design your own zine using drawing, painting, hand-lettering, writings, etc. Finally you’ll use our equipment to copy your project and create an edition of zines. At the end of the workshop we’ll have a zine swap so you can go home with a new zine collection!

This workshop will be facilitated by Nova Community Arts. Nova Community Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a space for artistic exploration and education in Los Angeles. Nova is committed to offering arts education, access to materials and equipment, and a platform of creative expression for the community, including students, professionals, and amateurs alike. We are dedicated to serving underfunded populations in LA, and providing inclusive spaces for the LGBTQ+ community and POC.
